j boag & son facade interpretation

2005 Gold PICA - Signage

These two interpretive artworks in the building façade on the corner of William and Tamar streets, were a great opportunity to enhance the historic streetscape with contemporary artwork and bring interpetation out of the museum and gallery environment.  We alluded to the already recognisable and successful Premium brand with a reference to Helmut Newtons famous Keyhole image. The production and installation of the artwork was technically difficult but the result is a very innovative piece for Launceston.
