description: What started out as a limited architectural service to develop a masterplan quickly flowed on to become a three stage whole of primary school transformation. Taking a group of ageing buildings with free flowing rain water coming through roofs, walls and floors, needing major asbestos removal, featuring poor access and dilapidated dark small spaces we, figuratively speaking, turned a sow’s ear into a silk purse.
The methodology and collaborative approach Birrelli Architects specialises in worked through processes with stakeholders: prioritising values, aims and objectives, developed concepts for review with budget checks, delivering value engineering with successful educational outcomes for what is now regarded as an exemplary new 21C TCEO primary school.
