st. michael’s independent living units
St Michael's is located within an urban context with significant site constraints. A wide range of care requirements are accommodated where units are clustered into groups of 10-12 detached 1 and 2 bedroom homes. Solar orientation, light and air as well as privacy considerations are balanced with outlooks to views. Modular and prefabricated housing components were investigated successfully through this project and tested against in-situ building procurement.
